About me
Hello and welcome!
I'm Katrine, the hands (and heart) behind Keramikkatrine.
I'm Danish and live in Sankt Olof in southeast Sweden with my Swedish husband and our two kids. We're just an hour from Malmö and about 1.5 hours from Copenhagen, close enough for good food, great inspiration, and the occasional city fix.
Eight years ago, we lived in Copenhagen, where I worked at Restaurant Noma. That's where my passion for food and wine grew and where I first fell in love with handmade ceramics. There was something about the imperfect, tactile pieces on the table that stayed with me.
After moving to Sweden, I worked at Talldungen while getting my hands deeper into clay. What started as curiosity slowly turned into a calling. Things truly took off when Noma ordered handmade coffee cups from me. One order led to another, and soon I took the leap into life as a full-time ceramicist.
For the past seven years, I've been creating ceramics for more than 20 restaurants and cafés. I'm endlessly inspired by clay, by its resistance and generosity, its surprises, and the quiet rhythm it brings to my days.
Thank you so much for being here and for supporting my work. If one of my pieces has found its way into your home, I'm deeply grateful. Each piece is made by me, by hand, with care, curiosity, and love.
